Ever wondered how to write long tweets on Twitter? Well, it wasn’t possible till today, as the social platform adds longer tweets support. Twitter’s long tweets were ‘long’ promised by the platform but they’ve been in the queue. A platform once known for limited character posting now supports longer Tweets, but with a caveat.

Twitter long tweets are only available for Twitter Blue users, regular Free users won’t be getting this anytime soon (or never).

In a tweet, Twitter added more words, yes, literally “more words,” that too 68 times (we calculated it).

more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more words more… https://t.co/0mcFJ1wwZK

Here’s how brands responded to long tweets support on Twitter

In response to this hilarious announcement, brands started responding with their versions. Here’s how DC took it:

Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na

And my favorite, Batman replied, ‘Batman’:

Batman.

— Batman (@Batman) February 9, 2023

To which a user responded hilariously, saying,

Of course, Minion didn’t hold back and responded with Bananas,

banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banana banan

Pizza Hut couldn’t hold back and called out their Pizza army,

Merriam-Webster had one of the most interesting replies, saying,

Kind of moving into our territory…

— Merriam-Webster (@MerriamWebster) February 8, 2023

In response to these hilarious tweets, Twitter users were furious, saying a big no to these longer tweets as they don’t serve the purpose. However, like it or not, Twitter’s long tweets are here. It’s your choice to buy a Twitter Blue subscription if you want Twitter long tweets or not. Here’s how to write long tweets on Twitter:

  1. Sign into your Twitter
  2. Sign up for the Twitter Blue subscription (U.S. only for now)
  3. Get Twitter long tweets for your account
  4. Write long tweets on Twitter

That’s it. That’s how you can do it!
